District Elder Chino L. Walters, Ph.D.

Dr. Chino L. Walters is the Senior Pastor and establishmentarian of the Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church of Waldorf, Maryland. He is a licensed and ordained minister with the Apostolic Faith Fellowship International, Inc. (AFFI). He serves in many capacities on both local and international levels, such as a member of the AFFI Convention Management Team, Director of Information Technology, and Director of Ecclesiastical Protocol. Dr. Walters is a respected voice among his peers and is known for his stance on holiness and his administration of spiritual order and excellence.

Dr. Walters has been in ministry for 20 years and has served as the senior pastor of Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church for ten years. Prior to full-time ministry, Dr. Walters served in senior roles for the private sector in Information Technology and Education. He holds three earned academic degrees: a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia International University.

During the Apostolic Faith Fellowship International, Inc., Episcopal District One Council spring session in March of 2020, Dr. Walters was designated and appointed to the office of District Elder-elect and he was later consecrated in November of 2020. Dr. Walters has been married to Lady Tamara Walters for over 20 years and is the proud father of three (3) lovely children: Isaiah, Cheyenne, and Ashlyn Walters. It is Dr. Walters’ desire to fulfill his Kingdom assignment by impacting a generation through the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; with God’s help, he will remain a voice crying out in the wilderness.
